Moulin de Saint Avit
Le Moulin de Saint Avit is a 17th century former water mill set in 5 hectares of land, surrounded by woodland on the edge of the river Lède. Le Moulin de Saint Avit is within easy reach of the circuit of Bastides (historical towns and villages) and various castles.
The medieval village of Saint Avit itself was home to the famous ceramist Bernard Palissy who is celebrated annually on the 2nd Sunday of August drawing in around 5,000 visitors.
There are many interesting walks and routes for mountain biking or horse riding. Depending on the season various other activities including Accrobranches, natural swimming, fishing, archery, tennis, quad biking and rock climbing are organized in the area.
We offer the rental of two fully equipped Gîtes and the use of our large size swimming pool (6m x 12m).
LA MINOTERIE (sleeps 12 persons)
Total surface of 180sqm, 5 bedrooms, each with its private shower-room and WC.
On the ground floor you will find a 20sqm TV lounge, equipped with a large TV, video and DVD players, adjacent is a 45sqm huge living-room with fully-equipped American kitchen (oven-cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, iron and ironing-board, hoover and stereo system. Next to these rooms you will find a double room with an extra single bed and terrace overlooking the river and another room particularly useful for disabled persons or someone with less mobility.
On the first floor, there is a double room, another with two separate beds and the third one with a double and a single bed, with a small balcony overlooking the river. A cot and a high chair are also available.
Outside, you will find a large private terrace (barbecue and wooden garden furniture).
There is also the use of a washing-machine. WI-FI access.
LA MOULEDE (sleeps 4 persons)
Total surface of 75sqm, 2 bedrooms, 1 shower-room and 1wc.
Two-bedrooms gîte,with a open-plan-kitchen/living area of approximately 25sqm, with TV and DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, iron and ironing-board, hoover. There is a private terrace and garden, with garden furniture, barbecue and parasols. The terrace has superb view to the pretty medieval village of Saint-Avit.
There is also the use of a washing-machine.
